Do hospitals pay you to give your blood or blood plasma?

I need money fast and I heard that hospitals give you money if you donate blood or blood components. is that true or does it vary from hospital to hospital

2. over hear you do not get money from donating blood. but in the past you could until the aids epidemic came out and people just kept donating blood for money without really checking. you should probably check with your local hospital or something
