  1. Phone one up and make some enquires.
  2. depending on what the problem is it should be a problem however teh costs is a possible problem you may have to face but with so many private hospitals providing 0% finance that shouldnt be a problem. private hospitals are really quick services so say if youhave to book yourself now then you are or can request for an op or treatment after 15 days obviously you can do it before hand one private hospital i would greatly recommend is BUPA they are independent regulated and have professional indemnity insurance therefore in a unlikely event that you suffer that you were unhappy then you could claim under that policy some hospitals do that and so dont. Bupa also covers you of free health insurance and / or free aftercare after treatment / operations the doctors and nurses are well standard and provide a efficient service good lucj
  3. Hi, there are lots of private hospitals and clinics. Most well established and best known place is Bupa hospitals. If you check in the yellow pages or yell.com and check for hospitals they're all over. Totally depending on what you need, the costs are going to vary - but it isn't cheap; if you're on an average budget. But they are very good and if it's something you're very concerned about then give them a call and see if you're willing to pay for the treatment you need. Best David
  4. Hi,you will get an appointment by phoning them & yes there expensive.
  5. I can tell you about the Cromwell Hospital. It's very simple. You just call and make an appointment with the doctor of your choice. If you don't have the name of a doctor, research it on the internet or ask the hospital receptionist, telling her the specialism you require. When you have the appointment, ask your GP to write the referral letter, telling him when your appointment is, so that he can get it to the specialist in time. Expect to pay around 100 to 120 pounds sterling per consultation, plus extra if any tests are ordered. Not all hospitals work in this way. The Cromwell is informal because it gets a lot of its work from foreign businessmen and tourists coming in off the street. For many private hospitals you have to go to your GP first. It's not always quick however. I once waited 3 months for a private appointment.
  6. You obtain the referral via your GP. Cost will of course depend on the problem and cannot be predicted in advance.
