Will hospitals save a life if the person has no money or insurance?
I know these days money matters so if you are dying and you have no money or insurance will any hospitals help? If you take a dying dog into a vet will they help with no money or way of paying? Does only money get you help?

- By law. they are suppose to
- no all emergancy rooms and required to save you even if you have no money or health insurance... so dont worry <3

- No hospital will let you die for lack of funds.
- A person must be treated in any emergency room even if he or she has no insurance, that is the law! As for pets, nope, no law there. sorry.
- The hospital, by law, has to provide life saving medical treatment regardless of the patients inability to pay. However, once they are stable their obligation ends. As far as Vets, most will do payment plans or financing, but there is no obligation to help you if you cant pay. There are a few publically subsidized hospitals that will to some degree, but a lot of times they will only cover the euthanasia.
- The hospital has to help you . . . but if afterwards you are unable to pay then they can have you arrested, cuz they did provide the service.
- Of course they will, if they can. Hospitals, both public and private, do a lot of free work for people who cannot pay. I don't know about veterinarians... I suspect most would.
- if you're dying then a hospital has to try to save your life as for a pet, sorry, but they will not do anything if you can't pay.
- By law An ER HAS to take you in reguardless of your income, past medical bills etc. But If you are going in to have a surgery, some may deny you There is a thing called sliding scale, if you're low income it can reduce the amount that you have to pay. Most hospitals will operate reguardless of it Please keep in mind I am referring to scheduled operations Emergency operations don't apply, they're given if you can pay for them or not.
- Here's the law on this- In a medical emergency, the hospital will get you stabilized -the law requires this- and then will put you out on the street, if they had to give you room ,board, and care until you were cured, there would be no need for national health care would it?
- They are obligated to under the Hypo-critic Oath Doctors take before they are allowed to practice medicine. However, the truth is, that most hospitals will only stabilize you, and let you go to die at home or on the street. If you are poor how can you sue them? Dead poor people don't have a voice
- the hospital will help you---doctors take an oath so ethically & legally--they have to help. now your vet---that's totally up to them
