Hospitals in Chicago?

What is the biggest/best hospital in Chicago? (preferably downtown or near north side)

  1. It would depend on what you need done. I had my children at Rush and it was great, but went back for emergency room visits and that was terrible. Cardiology department at University of Chicago is wonderful, however, the hospital staff were terrible. Most people I know that live near the loop use Northwestern. Good luck.
  2. Advocate Health Care is the largest hospital organization in the Chicagoland area. They own about ten large hospitals which are widely known to have the best doctors. Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Christ Hospital and Bethanny Hospital are all hospitals in the Chicagoland area.
  3. I am a huge fan of Northwestern hospital. I had 2 of my children there and loved every minute of it. I even had a bit of an emergency with my second and they handled it with care and communicated with my doctor (who was out of town). I also use Univ. Of Chicago for my vision and neuro services, they discovered a skin disorder my son suffered from when no one else could.
