Where can I get a job in Chicago w/ college degree?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and two years lab experience. I also worked at a bank throughout college and as a waitress, so I have customer service experience and financial exp. I need to make at least 30,000 a year. I have applied at banks, hospitals, university labs, etc. Where can I make the money I need to survive in Chicago? Why is no one interested in my resume? I am a single mom and I have very little time left to find something. I'm a nice peron with a good personality, so I don't think interviews are the problem. Please someone help me find a good job in Chicago! P.S. have tried monster and careerbuilder, but most of the companies haven't called me back. Maybe my resume just sucks, but I think I'm qualified for the jobs I apply to...?

- use monster.com or careerbuilder.com at these 2 sites you can plug in what you have a degree in and what area and it will pull up available listings. most importantly--the companies are paying monster for this service--they want you.
- Most employers will only spend 45 seconds max (if it has spelling errors or other errors, it gets tossed immediately) on a resume', so you really have to keep it simple, yet highlite what is important. the resume should be tweaked for each job -- for a lab stress lab technique, for a bank strss customer service, both bank experience and waittressing. have your friends review your resume, for errors. I don't live in Chicago, so I can't tell you where to go to apply for a job. Good luck, Oh and some people say use a paper which is higher quality and a little off white, Not the standard copy paper-- you want your paper and name to stand out.. Email it to me I'll look at it and provide feedback. Oh, try fuji-hunt in rolling meadows, but 1st make sure your resume is cool. pranqstr@yahoo{dot}com
