Medical Malpractice

Ambulance is must for all the hospitals either it is private or govt hospital?

On 2nd october 2007, I lost my mother, due to lack of ambulance. In chennai most of the private hospitals have no ambulance or sufficient duty doctors at night. Another thing government should order atleast 2 doctors and six nurse must work at night shift to see the emergency patients. I request donors to donate ambulance to all private hospitals in chennai and other cities as early as possible to save more people. Another thing hospital doctors not attend the patient in their home in night. Govt should order all the doctors must go to patient house and give the treatment. Every life is important in this earth. But doctors told me, their hospitals rules doesn't allow to go patient house and give treatment. This is rediculous. Please help me in this regard. This question only to create awareness amoung the people in chennai. That any thing happen to anybody in night. Death is the ultimate result. I request all the doctors please save the human life hereafter. Money is secondary one.

  2. Im very sorry for what happened to your mother. I know why you sited your problem here. Its really wonderful thing you are doing by creating awareness on such incidents. Really pathetic to know that there are not sufficient ambulances in times of emergency. I know how hard it is to see someone our beloved dying infront of us and we have nothing to do. It would be hell! I wonder why the authority that is given is being misused? Im not against any gov., but this issue cannot be ignored. Please do something to increase the number of ambulances. In a big city like Chennai, its really shocking to know that it has no good medical facilty. I assume the same with many other places too. Even if the ambulance services are provided in some instance the trafic would be big hurdle. In Hyd where i live, the living has become a big question. I would find the roads never ending with heavy traffic. It would take hours to reach a simple distance. If thats the case then where will the ambulances would find time get out of that pile of traffic in emergency cases. I used to ponder on this issue many a times when i travel. We must help ourselves. We need a proper way living our lives. What for we are running? Isnt it for living a happy life? If so are we finding it? Doctors being not able to put their work into use is too bad. What are these rules created for? Rules are for individual's own benefit. If these rules are worth taking a LIFE then why are these rules being laid? For whose sake are these rules? I would request whoever has gone through this message please share your own views and let know others that some simple things can lead to taking someone's life, a life that is bound with ome other lives. Let us create a Human chain by creating awareness among every individual. And thanks a lot for raising such an issue. I would like to share my views more. Its bit difficult for you to digest your situation But never lose your strength. I would suggest to send an article to a local newspaper related to this. It would greatly help. All the best.
  3. our hospital does not have ambulances, most do not.. we do have 2 ambulance companys in this town though... one does 911 calls and will go to your house to provide emergency care right there and take you in if needed.. the other on, will take you to a bigger hospital or take you home...
