Medical Malpractice

I was diagonsed with having artial tachycardia, is that a medical disqualifier for law enforcement jobs?

My heart does not constantly beat over 100 beats a minute, but under the right conditions it can start beating fast. I have been taking prescription beta-blockers to prevent rapid heart rhythms from occuring. I was wondering if this is a Med. DQ?

  1. Yes, but try the Army..... They'll take almost 'anyone.'
  2. If its benign tachycardia then they will likely still take you. I have benign tachycardia with my heart sometimes going upwards of 160 beats per minute...but if you can still pass the med examine when they do it you should be fine. Especially if your blood pressure is ok.
