What is the average cost for Law School and Medical School?

I am going to start to save for my 2 sons, I want to plan for the most expensive school for them, I live in Cali so state school would be OK but just wanted to know the average cost for both med and Law schools, and hoe long does the average grad go for? Do you spend all the time at that collage or do you normally go to the JC say to take general classes than transfer. thanks

1. It definitely costs a lot, but you can get actual prices from the colleges you are interested in by calling them. By the time your sons are ready to go it will be considerably more. Some schools have plans to pay ahead and possibly save you some on tuition.
2. I cannot answer for law school, but the average physician completes all education and training with over $200,000 debt. The good news is that the average physician repays that debt in seven years. 3. I'm at a private law school, and the grand total would be in the $150,000 ballpark (including minimal living expenses during school).
