Is it illegal for medical professionals to tell law enforcement if you overdose on drugs?
Can you be arrested after you are admitted to the hospital for a illegal drug overdose or is that Dr/Patient priveledge?

- My mother and stepfather work in the ER... They will not tell the police and you Will not be arrested or charged.. They make it that way so when kids all do some sorts of drugs it won't stop them from brining them in insted of leaving them were they are and trying to fix it themselfs. You'r not gona get charged.
- nope, its provided by law that they do, but I've never seen anyone arrested for it
- There are ways around that, all they need is a court order to get your medical records, if you told that to the doc, i guarantee it's in your chart. But a doc wont "narc" on you and will only provide that information if court ordered to.
- dont ever volontarily give a breath, blood or alcohol sample.talk to a lawyer if you think it may happen again.better stay away from drugs you dont know how to control them.
