  1. Students with perfect SAT scores and perfect GPAs are being turned down from the Ivies. Frankly, I'd apply at far less competitive universities since all the Ivies are admitting in record low numbers. I'll give you credit on what seems like a solid high school career but be realistic. Look into the other colleges available. You can get a great education and still have amazing job opportunities even with a diploma from a state school. Good luck!
  2. You never really know the exact things you can do to get into a good college. People with perfect SATs, grades, and amazing extracariculars are being turned down. Why? No one really knows. Maybe you can get in. You can go on the college calculater websites and it tells you your chances. You just need to keep working hard and study and do very well on the SATs. Just be passionate about what you do. That is what colleges are looking for.
  3. What you should do is go to the websites of the universities you want to apply to and check out the Admissions page. This should tell you everything you need to get in. If that doen't work, try to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor.
  4. If you were a minority I would say yes, you have a chance, but your avatar looks white. I would have several back up schools in mind that you would be happy with. The ivy's are notoriously hard to get into, even with a better than 4.0.
  5. You know, I know someone that has been rejected from University of California (Berkeley) but has been accepted into Stanford. I was reallyyyyy surprised. But then I figured out what extracurricular activities, where you have volunteered, what classes you have taken... these all depend on what each university is interested in. So you may be able to get in, and I wish you luck! =]
