Are insane asylums for suicide attempts immoral?

Really now, your fed up with life, you hate it, you try to kill yourself... next you wake up in the hospital, and now you hate everybody so much more, after telling the therapist that you don't have a deseise you just want to die he puts you in an insane asylum... How is this right? He wants to die why not let him? Instead of keeping him locked up and treated as if hes crazy and making his life SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more miserable?!?!?! Im so fed up with people thinking they know whats best!!! ITS THEIR DAMN CHOICE DON'T STOP THEM!!! who agrees and disagrees? that is all :) Phil...do you have any idea what you just said? Suicide is illegal?! If you killed yourself would you get put in handcuffs and dirven to the police station, then locked up for killing yourself? Anyone who does that IS insane..still shouldn't be locked up though, everyones insane in their own little way...:D
