Can you claim political asylum in a diiferent state within your native country?
Something like this used to happen in the US in pre-civil war times. Slaves used to flee to northern states and claim sanctuary. What if you considered yourself a victim of a state law that was not national policy? Has anyone tried to do this?

- NO, a USA citizen cannot claim a political asylum in another US State against his "native" State. This is a legal nonsense. You can bring a suit against a State in a federal court if you believe that their State law is unconstitutional.
