How is living in Jacksonville, NC (near Camp Lejeune)?
I'm in North Carolina. I was looking at the job listings at Onslow Memorial Hospital. There are a lot. I live in a bigger city than Jacksonville, but the job market is really competitive. I'm looking to get a start in Medical Administration, but haven't had any luck here. I'm semi familiar with that area. I know the cost of living there is pretty high. How are the schools? I'm a have a 5-year old. Do you think that living and working in that area is good? How would you describe the job market?

- schools are pretty good in that area, my wife went to the high school in Jacksonville. jobs are a little tougher to find because it is a military town and all the military spouses there are trying to find work.
- With all due respect... It is a Marine Base ...I was stationed there... 20-30 thousand young Marines...running wild... Most away from home for the first time... I compare Jacksonville with Tijuana Mexico, there isn't much difference everyone is out to get every cent they can from the Marine...then bitch how bad they are...the highways are lined with Strip Clubs,Bars and Massage Parlors... Now you know why there are so many job openings...
