my chances at getting in colleges of my choice?

hello :) I'm going to be a senior this fall... GPA 4.12 (for 10th and 11th grades) SAT 2290 (should I take it again?) no AP classes for 10th grade (school doesn't offer AP to sophomores) 2 AP's (U.S. History and English composition), both grades of A, exam scores not out yet... school offers maximum of 3 or 4 AP classes for juniors... I will be taking 5 AP classes next year as a senior my extracurriculars are kind of weak... parliamentarian and VP of competition for school's FBLA one of 4 team leaders for Recycling Club involved in two other clubs, but no leadership positions in band all 4 years, and marching band volunteering at hospital this summer job at school library summer internship at local chamber of commerce no awards or honors (except for CSF) I will do my best to write an impressive personal statement =) so what do you think are my chances, like for UC Berkeley or University of Chicago? I know they're pretty ambitious goals but just curious :) thank you ^_^

  1. sounds really good to me your chances are better then mine. And colleges like to see when you take hard courses your senior year. All I have to say is 5 AP classes in one year is alot, don't screw up or your GPA will really suffer!
  2. your chance is around 50%. although your grades and test scores are outstanding that's not the only thing that selective colleges listed above look for. you are right...activities are weak. you need to do something BIG in the fall of senior year to really stand out..maybe in the FBLA since your're the vp? be CREATIVE! that alone will set you apart from the crowd. also write a unique essay and get recs from teachers who known you for at least 2 years. Best of luck! Remember, you always have a chance!
