Medical Malpractice

ANyone know of any literature - fiction, which had an account of mental institutions/asylums in them?

I really need a quote about victorian mental health/treatment, but i would like it to be within the realm of fiction (i already have facts and i need to illustrate it with a fictitious quote). Thanks!

3. it's not victorian, but "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest" might have something general enought that you can use.
