can somebody tell me some names of schools and hospitals in Downtown Chicago?

3. The closest hospital near the downtown area is Northwestern Memorial located at 251 E. Huron St and the closest high school located downtown is Jones College Prep located at 606 S. State St. Notice that I use the word 'near' for the hospital because it is not in walking distance in the downtown area unless you like to walk. It is closer to the Water Tower area on Michigan Ave. The school is located on State St. & Harrison St.
4. Hospitals: Northwestern Memorial. very good and very busy hospital. It is located two blocks East of Michigan Avenue Loyola (North) and University of Chicago (South-Hyde Park, Obama's neighborhood) are also good. Schools: Private or public? Elementary? HS? College? You can goggle chicago public schools and get a full report on every school Good choice HS's, but can be very selective- Walter Payton College Prep, Whitney Young HS, Jones College Prep, Northside College Prep. All these schools are amongst the top 100 in the country. Good private schools- St. Ignatius College Prep, Chicago Lab (very expensive though) All except Northside College Prep and Chicago Lab are in close proximity to downtown.
