  1. Yes, they are not supposed to do that. you can make a complaint.
  2. I think hospitals treat you bad no matter how much insurance you have. It's like the DMV....Hospital Staff must face a lot of BS in one Day...but it is awful!
  3. Yes, and this happened to me in a very Obvious way...I had no insurance and the sent me home still sick *not to mention that they "forgot" to bring me dinner one night...I was so sick that I Had to be transported back in an ambulance! Then another time I had to go to the same hospital and I have insurance now and they ran all kinds of tests, were very through and treated me really well!
  4. a lot of them do treat you different and it is not right,so many use the hospital for drugs and they are regulars and it makes it look so bad on people who do not have insurance and have no money for the dr and have to come to the er room.if this has happened to you you should report it so that maybe something can be done to put a stop to it at the hospital you went to.i am sorry that it happened to you
  5. America's healthcare system is completely and totally apalling! And that's coming from someone who works in the health care field! I don't know who came up with the idea that healthcare should be for profit, but it's ridiculous! You wouldn't expect the police or the fire department to work for you ONLY if you could pay, so why should healthcare be any different? It's sad, 50 million american citizens do not have insurance, and 50 % of the people who filed for bankruptcy last year had to do so because of medical expenses.... what's more is that 75% of people who had to file for bankruptcy because of that reason were insured! Private insurance companies do not give a sh*t about the health of their patients... all they care about is how much revenue they create. Health care should be universal. Something is wrong when a country fails to take care of its sick because they can't afford treatment. It's absolutely terrible, and unfair. I am uninsured, and my family is uninsured. Every day I hope and pray that none of us come down with something that would require medical treatment, because if one of us did, I know that we would possibly be condemned to death because we couldn't afford the operation we needed, or we couldn't afford to get the necessary testing to diagnose our condition. Hopefully there will be some major healthcare reform in the near future! This is why we all need to get out a**es out there and vote!
