- Wal-Mart will soon open medical clinics inside their super centers.
- Some close but new open, Nurses and MD's are always in demand, it will not be hard for them to find new Jobs quick.
- The patients will be absorbed by other hospitals and many nurses and docs will just become employed by transfer. Others will leave NY for other state that need medical personnel. Which hospital is closing in NYC ???????
- The focus has been on the big car makers and housing industry...I have been telling people now for a long time that the hospitals are in deep trouble. They are the largest employers in the Western World. People do not pay their hospital bills, they are paid after the house and car and entertainment is paid for. All will suffer because of this. The MD's and nursing lab xray clinical staff will relocate to the other hospitals barely hanging on by a thread. The hospitals can not stay open with the reimbursement they receive from Medicare and Blue Cross contracts, they are paid cents on the dollar and expected to stay open with all utilities and staff paid and properly heated and cooled at all times. Wake up America..
- Well if all the jobs go away, no one has the insurance for the medical bills, I guess that's one way the medical field could become unstable.
