My Sister needs medical help in North Carolina. Can someone tell me where she can get help?

My sister went to the doctor and was told she needs a hystarectomy as she has a cyst on her left ovary. Can someone tell me where she can get help in Elizabeth City NC or somewhere in NC? She has a job but can not afford the surgery. She can not get any government assitance out there. NC does not have free county hospitals like Los Angeles. Please get back to me...

If you put your question in "Local Businesses" and the specific area, you will be more likely to hear from someone who knows the area and what's available there. Good luck to your sister. I hope she finds the help she needs.
2. Her situation should be discussed with her doctor. Since her doctor knows her physical situation s/he should be able to help. There are patient advocates in hospitals, she can make an appointment to see one and work out the financial end of things. WHY does she need a hysterectomy because of a cyst on one ovary? Ovaries can be shrunk/disappear with birth control.(some resolve on their own without intervention) WHY take out her uterus? I'm not sure if you or she have their facts straight. There is NO reason for such an extreme surgery if the true case is just a cyst on an ovary.
