where to live in North Carolina?

Hey you NC experts; I am from Seattle, relocated to longisland, ny for my new fiance, and now want to move to NC (my mom is near asheville). We are looking into greensboro, raleigh (apex), and charlotte. I like trees, lakes, rivers, green space/parks, older historic houses, good food, and some nightlife occasionally. I am a nurse and also would like any feedback on good hospitals in these areas. thanks so much for any information you can muster up.

1. Raleigh and Charlotte are great places to live!
2. i would suggest south Charlotte or Union County If you are having home built, there are more options for you in Union County. Of course, it depends on where your job is located (for commute times) as well as your price range.
