Do you agree that church has became the new asylums for the mentally ill?

Is it just me or does anyone else seem to feel quite sorry, How grown adult Christians still are letting their pastors teach them the Bible on a child's level. Meaning the pastor describing how Adam was created or how Jesus is the savior. Shouldn't they be taught on a higher level. I mean does the pastor have enough intelligence to do so, or is he an adult in child's mind also?

3. nope, I work with mentally ill people and most of them don't go to church.
4. Churches have for centuries been a santuary for the mentally ill. Fanaticism is nothing new to religion.
5. Well my pastor isn't like that. He doesn't teach us how Adam was created because that's in the Bible. If I wanted to know that I would read it there. And if grown adult Christians are letting themselves be taught that way then they are not reading their word and that's not the pastor's fault. It's the ignorant Christians fault.

Jesus said that unless we come as little children, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven not child-ish but child-like like teachers, pastors teach to the group, some get it quick and are able to help others, some take more time no to you answer, it's the ones on the outside that have the problems they have to settle their problems on their own.

12. I watched a movie called Jesus camp awhile back, and the way they were behaving, talking some strange language, they certainly looked mentally ill to me, very strange.
