Health Care Assistant Interview?

I have an interview tomorrow in my local hospital for a gynaecology ward as a HCA. I went up to look around the ward yesterday, it seemed lovely, and i think i would really enjoy working in that field. Do you know what sort of Questions they may ask me in my interview? I really want to get this full time position, i am currently on the bank and i dont get enough hours really! Thank you x

  1. Well the only advice I have is to act self confident and pretend you are the best person for this job. Your self confidence will be attractive to the person interviewing. Don't sound desperate, just very interested. If they ask for experience just tell them you are a fast learner and very dependable. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
  2. I think you'll be fine, you are impressed by the ward and things so make it known to the interview that your first impression as been a really good one and that you think you would enjoiy working there. Just stay nice and positive and be confident in yourself and you'll be fine. Standard questions - Do you enjoy working shift work? Have you dealt with a difficult patient and what happened, how did you cope? What do you enjoy most about being a HCA? What makes you suited to the role? What made you apply for this post?
