- I gave Birth at Wyckoff Heights Hospital In Brooklyn Ny. My 3 children were born there in 98, 01 and 04. Everyone was nice. It was clean. I had no problems.
- I'm not from nyc but I figure your trying to find the best hospital. You can call labor and delivery o each hospital and ask I you can go in and take a tour, look around. I there is a room they will show it to you. This way you can get an idea and maybe meet some of the nurses. That's what I did and I pretty much new were I wanted to go just by phone manners. The nurse I talked to was so sweet answered all my questions and told me to feel free to call back if I had more. Plus told me I could go in and look around and see a room if they had one open.
- We'll be giving birth any day now (here in NYC). We chose St Luke's Roosevelt. I wanted to use the birthing center there but we risked out since the baby is so overdue... :( They have lots of options for making sure that your birthing experience is tailor-made as close to what you want as possible. Their maternal and fetal statistics are also some of the best around. I spent some time in regular L and D at about 4 months because of some complications earlier in the pregnancy and both the staff and hospital itself were really great. There are some great reviews on Park Slope Parents website if you're interested. Some other hospitals and birthing centers are reviewed there as well. Good Luck!
