Medical Malpractice

Can 0bama & the Dems make all hospitals as bad as VA hospitals have been for 35 years?

Or are VA hospitals the role models for 0bama's plans? (Veterans moan about VA hospitals as if it's the last place they ever want to go to)

Public Comments

  1. Very good point.
  2. No President Obama can make VA Hospitals as good as they should be.
  3. If you knew the truth, you would know that healthcare is the best you can get at the VA hospitals.
  4. Worse. There are only a small number of VA hospitals. Think of what the rest of the hospitals will be like under Obama care. Cost cutting everywhere. Probably the first to go will be the janitorial department. Clean floors? We don't need them!
  5. I dont think they are that good
  6. Already happening. You will be hard pressed to find a doctor today that would recommend a career in medicine to a bright student.
  7. Like that would happen I say It will be like France and Italy you come in and you'll be taken care of.
  8. You mean the ones republicans have been underfunding for the last 35 years?
  9. they intend to make them even worse!
  10. what are you talking about? my dad is a veteran and goes to the VA hospital at least 3 times a week i'm very pleased with them they even pick him up and bring him back home the VA hospital has saved my dad's life about 4 times EDIT: my dad moans about it too but ya know what take the VA hospital away and he'd moan even louder most of the veterans that go to the VA are very very ill and have to go there how would you like to go to the hospital 5 days a week?
  11. Yes they can and in a very few short years I'm sure.
  12. Even worse, they could make them as bad as Cuban hospitals.
  13. The VA hospitals were fine until Bush/Cheney began their efforts to privatize the system. My guess is Halliburton would have gotten a "nobid" contract and KBR would have been doing the plumbing and bathrooms so that everyone could be electrocuted when they took showers (like what happened in Iraq). I am a military veteran and make full use of the VA medical system wherever I go. In Missouri, the Bush administration began cutting services drastically so that appointments were difficult to get, occurring two and three months after calling. Under Democrat Bill Clinton, however, you could easily get next-day appointments and were seen on time, the doctors were full-time, and not all of them were foreign with very little English-speaking skills. Under Bush (during wartime), the rehabilitation gym for Jefferson Barracks that includes a heated pool, recreational resources, and a well-equipped gym with a walking trail around its perimeter was about to be closed in favor of expanding the cemetery! We started a letter-writing campaign to block this stupidity: Aren't the live returning and wounded soldiers/Marines more IMPORTANT??? During Bill Clinton's eight years in office, services improved. During Reagan/Bush, Bush/Quayle, and most recently Bush/Cheney (the worst), services severely declined. Democrats have ALWAYS been more concerned with helping American people than with catering to fatcat CEOs. It took a Democrat (Bill Clinton) to bail us out after 12 years of bad Republican economic policies (remember the savings and loan collapse, the loss of our manufacturing base, the high unemployment, record numbers of homeless families and veterans?) and leave office with a $271 billion surplus, after paying down the Republican-caused deficit by $362 billion and creating 2.2 million new jobs (Flynt, 2004). Bush/Cheney did even more damage that President Obama (yet another Democrat) is well on his way toward fixing. This health care reform will be GOOD for America, so shout gloom and doom all you want---we just aren't buying the elephant dung stench you keep trying to palm off as perfume.
