Please tell me everything bout' Chicago?What's the weather like in the winter? Hospitals? I'm a DR.?

I am about to begin my residency in Emergency Medicine. I was thinking about doing it in Chicago. Are the hospitals good there? What is the weather like? Especially the winters? Snow? Frigid? Tell me everything?

1. terrible weather can be anything . has been 50 below on the wind chill index. great hospitals great experience buy warm clothes and come on here.
2. There are many good hospitals in chicago. You will have a tough choice to make deciding which one. I would choose either Rush, Loyola or Northwestern The weather changes all the time. Just in the last week we went from high humidity and 97 degrees to the 70's and 50's at night. Our winters are pretty much the same. It can get so cold you want to leave but then the next day it's gorgeous. Winter is about the only season that's rough on us. So dress warm and remember it doesn't last forever. only about 3 months
