What are the safest cities in Ohio with the best (and highest ranking) schools?

My husband and I are planning to relocate closer to Cincinnati Ohio because of the hospital there. We want to be within an hour (2 tops) of the city because of my daughters health. We are looking for homes in the surrounding areas. Because we really know very little about Ohio (other than the wonderful hospital) we are trying to enlist some outside help. We want a town/city that is safe - as safe as you possibly can get. Close to shopping, grocery, etc. Wonderful schools with special education programs. A very community oriented type of place. I am not sure where to look so if you are not from a city such as that in Ohio but have an idea where I could find this information I would appreciate it. Some home specifications would be - $200,000 or lower At LEAST an acre of land. More would be better. Near water (but not a must), parks nearby (hopefully within walking distance)... I think that is it... Really the safety of the city and the schools are the only deal breakers. I do hope someone can help me on this one!

1. Safest cities are in Geauga County. Too far from Cincy.
2. Do you already know some people at the hospital? I'd ask them.
