My chances of getting into med school or business school?

School: UC Davis Major: Biochemistry / Economics GPA: 3.89 (combined) Extra activaties: 2 months guitar teacher 1 quarter (2 months) Biology lab tutor Volunteer in hospital for 30 hours 1 quarter (2 months) of student housing board 1 quarter (2 months) of alternate in student council internal affairs 1 yr of voting memeber in Health Fee Advising Board to the Vice chancellor of student affairs 1yr of voting member in Student Health insurance advising board to the Vice chancellor of student affair 2 quarters (4 months) research in animal science lab 2 yr research in epigentics lab on human cancer 2 yr of publicity director of a club researching diseases and spread its awarness have not take GMAT and MCAT yet but around what should I get in those two test to get into stanford med and business school? and what are my chances to get into the schools below if I get a good score in these two tests. I am also interested in UC berkely, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCSB, UCSC, UCR (last resort for med school), Stanford, U of M Ann Arbor These I am interested in both their med school and business schools Med school i am interested in: UCSF, John Hopkins, USC Business Schools I am interested in: Ohio State, Univerity of Virgina, Oxford University (UK), Cambridge University (UK)

  1. you will get in to any of those schools mentioned if you have good intrapersonal skills and you can write. Your resume is the lowest regarded factor in acceptance into graduate schools
  2. wow it looks like youre going through a good path but i think how well you score on the MCAT will also define into where you get too especially in an ivy league like stanford.
  3. Business school is easier to get into, especially given the med schools you mention BUT a lot depend on MCAT scores, where you place in your college class and interviews. You have good extra-curricular activities that are med-related and that helps. You will earn more in business, physicians are earning less due to insurance, dep on Field of specialty. That given, I don't regret my decision to go to medicine. Know it sounds corny but doing what you love and feeling that it makes a difference...despite having been an intern...I love what I do. U have done a lot with medicine and know if it truly appeals to you - you can't go into it expecting to make a fortune, but it is comfotable living, a satisfying career, and GREAT job security. 'Course I'm a bit biased....
