Films about asylums...?

Does anyone know of any good films about insane asylums... be them fictional or documentary-type films? Great answers so far... but a detail I forgot... anything about older asylums? Thanks so much everyone! :-)

beautiful mind russel crowe plays john nash who is sent to an asylum for part of the movie because he sees imaginary people.
Girl, Interrupted One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Twelve Monkeys Three terrific movies which involve asylums. Highly recommended.
A classic is "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" also "Girl, Interrupted" thats all I can think of currently...
Bedlam, Starring Boris Karloff
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is pretty much the beginning and end. Not to say the other's are bad but this movie is an absolute classic. It's got Jack Nicholson and it's a truly amazing movie.
