Medical Malpractice

Would Dr. Bill Frist (R-TN) make a better President than 0bama?

I would think so, here's why: -Bill Frist went to Princeton, not Occidental College. -Bill Frist went to Harvard Medical School and is a board-certified Cardiovascular Surgeon, who saved hundreds of lives. Harvard Medical School is twice as prestigious and selective than Harvard Law. -Bill Frist actually worked in the Healthcare industry as a Cardiovascular Surgeon who saved lives and as a hospital administrator with Hospital Corporation of America. -Bill Frist has private sector experience working in hospitals as a HMS-educated surgeon and executive at HCA. -Bill Frist actually served a full Senate term.

  1. Bill Frist is truly an idiot,. Believe me, I know him very well. lol
  2. So Put him up for President....Nickel says it won't happen...WHY? The RNC doesn't want him.
  3. "For Bill Frist, Terri Schiavo came along at an opportune moment. After inspecting some videotapes made by her parents, the doctor announced that the examinations by court-appointed physicians were erroneous in concluding that Schiavo has been in a persistent vegetative state for the past 15 years. He may also have concluded that if getting the jump on the 2008 Republican presidential field required issuing a preposterous diagnosis, that was a small price to pay. Frist isn't running for Neurologist in Chief, after all." Washington Post, March 23, 2005. Sarah Posner wrote March 25, 2005: "Now that Bill Frist has deemed himself sufficiently expert in neurology to conclude that Terri Schiavo could have been misdiagnosed as being in a persistent vegetative state, let's hold him to the Code of Professional Conduct of the American Medical Association's American Academy of Neurology. ... "By turning an individual patient's case into a political issue, Frist has disrespected Terri Schiavo's autonomy and confidentiality, and has violated the provision of the Code prohibiting publicizing the patient's life and illness. Moreover, Frist, who is not even trained as a neurologist, and has not engaged in continuing education in neurology, cannot represent the prevailing standards of neurologic practice.' So he's not only publicizing her case in violation of the Code, but also misrepresenting his expertise, thereby publicizing Schiavo's case in a misleading way, in further violation of the Code," she writes. And that's just for starters. --The Gadflyer Yeah just what we need...another Republican hypocrite. You like Frist so does this mean you are all for Government Intervention into people's private lives? Oh wait, you guys are the ones who are all freaked out over two men getting married...nevermind...I almost forgot sticking your noses where there do not belong is a passion for the conservative.
  4. I have a lot of respect for Bill Frist. Since I live in Nashville, unlike Assistant, I actually know people who have worked with him... and he is definitely not an idiot. I certainly think his approach to health care reform would be more realistic and better for the nation than Obama's. Beyond that, I don't know Frist's stand on many issues, but he is certainly much more conservative than Obama, so everything else aside, it stands to reason that he would be a better President than Obama.
  5. Definitely, at least he has been in command of something in his lifetime. It wouldn't be hard to be better than Obama though.
  6. There's only one way to find out. Run him in 2012. Let the nation decide.
