Medical Malpractice

medical malpractice?

I was seeing a military doctor, then sent me to three doctors in the first 5 months, I saw a midwife, then i saw a midwife again, not knowing i wasnt supposed to (i had twins), then they sent me to the complications ob, then they sent me to the last ob. I almost missed my quad screening because they didnt order it for me until the second visit. THey didnt do a dialation check when they were supposed to, they just said to have them do it at the next one, a month later. Normally when you are having twins you are seen more frequently but she was still seeing me every 4 wks. I had my appointment end of november, they were going to schedule me gor jan 7 to see my doc, I opted to see someone else on dec 28, instead I moved was in the preocess of getting my ob set, and gave birth due to twin to twin transfusion on jan 4. One baby had lots of problems and passed, the other one almost passed at birth. Is there anything I can do? or can i not do anything because i missed the dec 28th appointment? I thought it was ok because the original appointment they wanted to give me was on jan 7, i thought i had time. I scheduled the dec 28th one so my hubby could go. I thought i was doing everything you were supposed ti.

  1. I am sorry about your loss. You will have to contact an Attorney with expertise in this area for an opinion. THese cases are always very complex, and establishing that the twin to twin transfusion had anything to do with your prenatal care may be difficult. I know you are angry, but it may not really be any one individual's fault, including your own. http://askanob.com/recentadvances/twintwintransfusion.html
  2. This is sad, but things happen where there is no blame to be attributed. An ambulance chasing lawyer might make you think about this for 2 or 3 years, but don't you want to get on with your life and put this behind you? Don't get railroaded into the blame culture. ( I not a lawyer!)
