Will my wife able to use military ID in any army hospital?
I’m in US Army and my wife lives in OHIO, the army issued her ID she uses it frequently when she goes for medical care or go to some military base hospitals near OHIO….. is she allowed to use that ID to get any free medical care from other military hospitals or clinics outside OHIO state, I mean in different states or she will be only authorize to use it in those hospitals assigned by army . What about if we moved to another state, will she be able to use military ID with same military health coverage in any military hospitals or clinics? Please I need clear answer … Army Strong

- if they accept Tricare as insurance she should be fine. but make sure you call them, or ask the doctor BEFORE you get seen, or you will have to pay the bill.
- It is my understanding that she can. The records should be in the system. She might have to wait a little longer than expected. I've gone to different hospitals as Active and to different DAV hospitals with no problem
- You really should contact Tricare and ask them who is in your network.
- yes ,she can use it in any military hospital or clinic in any state .
- Not just any Army hospital, but any military medical facility. If your wife (and kids) are covered in your tricare plan then they can go to any military medical facility to get treatment, with their dependent ID cards as proof of eligibility.
