How do they treat patients in asylums?
Not medical treatment, but like what do they do with them? Are they locked up twenty-four seven with no contact to the outside world? How much freedom do they get within the hospital? Are they treated like normal people or are they made to feel that they have something wrong with them? (I mean aside from the fact that they are in a hospital, do the staff act as though they are mentally ill or speak to them as if they weren't?) I'm just curious. You see and hear a lot of bullsh!t about this stuff.

- I think somewhere along the line you get prodded with electric-shock tazer sticks... LIKE CATTLE on a giant assembly line of pharmaceuticals and overpaid "therapists" really they are THE RAPISTS that are raping your mind of the small shred of sanity that is left underneath the society induced mountain of dead brain matter O_O
- Okay, so in my experience it varies. I have been in ones where you can visit with people several times (from the outside) a day, have phone privileges, and even monitored internet. You can't move to other wards, or to other patient's rooms, but there are dayrooms. They are treated like normal people, unless they have special needs (talking in short sentences)
- Asylums (ie. places where the "crazies" are treated like animals and kept away from society) were outlawed years ago. Nowadays we have psychiatric hospitals, which are very humane. They're sort of like live-in counseling sessions for people with pretty much any type of mental issue, including anxiety and stress. Patients usually have restrictions like no sharp objects or electronic devices. They're usually allowed to call their families on the phone and have visitors, and they're given proper meals and places to sleep. I was looking into a particular mental hospital that had a pool and tennis courts. In the meantime they get counseling and treatment for whatever is troubling them. The goal is recovering and becoming independently functional, rather than just being kept away from society like in the olden days.
- altho they seem like a live in city to some with entertainment gyms chapel medical etc they still have barbaric practices in them.... and they will try or do drug people in there to the point of being a vegetable and its evil.. and everyone in them are normal they kidnap people and hold them hostage.. and run stupid tests and they wont mind their own business and they cause terrible family fueds..... it is wrong to stick your nose into anyones familys... they all just use people to make money for their careers thats all... they arent crazy they suffer.. then you hire lawyers to get you out of there or sue the places.. but its hard to survive out here still.. its hypocritical... satan..it is not good to throw humans intogether like that... its wrong... this is a horrible world..
