  1. Your chances of getting in are 13%. We don't like showoffs.
  2. College admissions are a toss up. Some of the most brilliant people I've ever met get rejected, and some of the most underqualified people I know go to "top" schools like Stanford. It's really in the air. From what I can see, it looks like you've got a fighting chance. Give it your all on the application, and let fate do the rest. EDIT: Agreed, the minority card will always help. Unless you are Indian or Oriental, in which case, you get no help from your race. Also, if you're related to someone who got in, mention that. (Affirmative action/Legacy. Colleges don't like to admit it but both programs are there).
  3. I would say your chances are not bad, but maybe not due to what you think. You're definitely doing the right things. Being a hispanic is not going to hurt you one bit. If you were a white male, I'd say best of luck; keep looking and hoping. But you aren't, so that's actually a plus when trying to get into a college. They are looking for anything but white. So, hey, you have a shot! I told my daughter to put down on applications that she is part Cherokee (even though she's not much), because that would set her apart from many people. So I say go for it and good luck!
  4. its def a good idea to try to play up any minority you are a part of i'm half indian so i put asian on all of my applications lol
  5. Stop asking this question.
