How many government hospitals were built in 2008?

I need to know how many hospitals were built by the government in 2008. I also need some sort of source from where you gained this statistic.

1. Why build more hospitals? There are enough buildings. The only thing is to update and equip the existing ones
2. I tried to find this out myself. It's a difficult stat to pin down i.e. how many completed in each year. There were over 100 completed during their term in office. There were none built in 2008 as it would take about two to three years to build a hospital. How many were completed in 2008 may be a more appropriate question. I know of two complete new-build hospital in progress at the expense of surrounding heatth care facilities. You can't give an exact figure as some are still in progress and some planned works are now being cancelled by those wonderful Tories and their Lib Dem side-kicks.
