where to move to in north carolina close to a beach and childrens hospital?

We will be moving from Pittsburgh to North Carolina (east coast side) in August for a change of scenery. We always liked the nicer weather, less pollution, and close to a beach, but not too far from home. My fiance needs to be close to a childrens hospital for her job and I heard Greenville NC has a childrens hospital and close to a university. I also would like to be around a slightly higher populated area for things to do and for employment for myself. We just dont want to move in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do is all. Any suggestions where to go? Thanks

1. Greenville is a couple hours from the coast...you might want to think in terms of Wilmington, NC on the coast and a good hospital
