Are there still insane asylums to work in?

I live in York, PA and I'm a senior this year and I want to get ready to apply for colleges but I don't know where I want to do. I want to shadow at an insane asylum but I'm not sure where any are. Every time I look it up on google all that comes up is Dixmont and that was torn down. So, does anybody know of ANY insane asylums anywhere in the USA that still run and I could shadow and someday work at?

1. They still exist. I'm sure PA has them. Check with your local hospital.
2. They definitely do still exist. Maybe a local hospital, nursing home, or psychaitrist or therapist has more information.
3. You might want to google another word for them. I don't think most people call them "insane asylums" anymore... Maybe try "mental hospitals" or a less antiquated term...
