Is Rick Scott of Florida now the GOP's Front Runner for 2012?
Is it time for Sarah Palin to get nervous now that Rick Scott has a solid chance to become Florida's next Governor? After all Sarah only stole a couple of million from her fellow Alaskans, while Rick Scott snagged 1.7 BILLION from the 'socialist' fund called Medicare? WIll this become the new benchmark for success for GOP Politicians - - - how much they can steal from hated institutions? BY this new standard for excellence does this make Rick Scott the new front runner for 2012 or will Rick Scott have to fight Michelle Bachman for the Veep Spot to Prez Sarah Palin? http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20014659-503544.html """The deep-pocketed Scott, who spent nearly $40 million in the nasty and bruising campaign, was the CEO of the Columbia/HCA hospital chain, which was fined $1.7 billion for Medicare fraud not long after he left.""

- At the end of the day, he is just another spineless politician... ( in cartoon)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWmDu-fGGIY
- What is interesting is Scott was actually forced out by the board at Columbia/HCA because of the Medicare fraud charges and the impending fine. He later went on to campaign actively against healthcare reform while owning a chain of walk-in medical clinics that made it's money from people with no health insurance. The entire GOP is nervous about him. Restoring honor, indeed. "McCollum hammered Scott repeatedly for his leadership of Columbia/HCA, which ended up paying $1.7 billion to settle the criminal fraud charges. Scott, who was forced out as CEO by his board amid the government investigation in 1997," http://www2.highlandstoday.com/content/2010/aug/25/scott-gets-gop-nomination-governor/
- The fine was 1.7 billion dollars. Rick Scott was never charged for any wrong doing. You really don't believe what CBS says do you? I would hope you have the ability to think for yourself.
- A typical right wing crook, a petty thief
- No but he may be by 2012. "FOX WHERE LIBERALS GO WHEN THEY WANT THE TRUTH" "FOX WE SCARE THE SHIITE OUT OF LIBERALS" "FOX WHERE LIBERALS BECOME EDUCATED AND START STABBING MUSLIM CAB DRIVERS"
- I don't like Rick Scott and don't mind admitting it.
- The Presidential campaign for 2012 actually began the day after the election in 2008. it takes an amazing amount of organizational strength to mount a serious challenge for either party's top spot, and these things are never put together at the last moment. Depending on how well he does in November, and also assuming that in the next two years he start making the rounds on the "Rubber Chicken" circuit, Scott could make himself a viable choice for the VP slot, but I think it highly unlikely he could mount a serious insurgency to take the top spot. Of course, in politics, a year is a lifetime, and anything can happen. But right now, establishment figures like Huckabee (currently polling a 70% approval rating among Republicans in Iowa and New Hampshire), and Romney (at 58% approval in both states) have the clear edge. I'll take my "Thumbs Down" on this like a man for saying so, but IF there is a God, and IF God, REALLY loves America, Sarah Palin will not get the Republican nomination. If "Caribou Barbie" becomes the nominee the collective IQ of the United States will plummet, and the level of political discourse will be reduced to the level of a Dr. Seuss book for 4 year olds. If I may offer a bit of analysis... Up until recently, Democratic strategists in D.C. and elsewhere have been somewhat apoplectic. But the Tea Party, which so alarmed them at first, is coming back to bite the Republicans. If you look at Arizona, McCain was able to pull it out, but only by lurching to the extreme right. This might bode well in Arizona, but not in the nation as a whole. Like it or not, America is essentially a nation of centrists, and going too far to the right alienates mainstream voters. Tea Party activism is doing a double-whammy on the Republicans. 1. It's forcing many to go to the far right to hold on; and, 2. In other areas, it's splitting the vote, opening avenues for Democrat victories. It's now the Republicans who are attempting to put the Genie back in the bottle. We'll see how successful they are. But for now, 2012 promises to be a three ring circus... Cheers, mate.
