Hi! I'm a senior in high school and I got a 32 on the ACT and I have a 3.75 gpa unweighted and 4.17 gpa weighted. I took quite a few honors classes, and I will have taken 4 AP classes. (I got all 4s on my previous AP tests) I've been in quite a few clubs including Key Club, a club assisting special education classes, I'm in Spanish NHS, I volunteer at a hospital once a week, and I play Varsity Softball. Anyway, these are the schools I am planning on applying to: USC, UCLA, University of Virginia, University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and University of Alabama. My first choice is USC, but close behind are UCLA and Virginia. I would rather go to these schools, but I would still be thrilled if I got into Chicago. Wisconsin-Madison is a school that I would be happy at, it's kind of close to home, and it's still a good school. I'm confident that I could get in. I'm applying to Alabama because I know that with my grades and ACT score, I'm guaranteed 4 years full tuition. So basically, I could go there for free, and I'm pretty positive that I will get in. So Alabama's my safety school. So does this seem like a good plan? Do you guys think that I could get into USC, UCLA, Virginia, or Chicago? (I'm not sure which one is the most exclusive) By the way, I live in Chicago, if that makes a difference. And my family is middle class, so we would struggle a bit, but potentially we can pay tuition for these schools. (I'm hoping that I can get grants and scholarships though.)
