What is good hospital in Chicago for having a baby?
I was thinking of the University of Chicago hospital because I live on the south side and as far as I know that's the best hospital on the south side. But I'm definitely open to suggestions.

- U of C is your best bet...
- I have had all my babies (4) at Christ hospital. I also work there and absolutely love it there! Not to mention if anythings goes wrong they have Hope children's hospital connected to it. Hope this helps!
- St Francis (blue Island) was my Hospital when I had my child, this was 11 years ago, and from what I hear, it has really gone downhill..which sucks. Christ is really good as well..they docs are really good, and attentive, I had been taken to ER there once, and...gasp, private rooms? Awesome, they got my attention, many of my friends have actually traveled to Northwestern downtown to have their babies..from what I understand, the maternity wing is incredible...especially the new add on..I would check it out to see what it's like, although i've never been to the maternity part, I have had family in Northwestern many times, and know the hospital like the back of my hand, and l really like it there..I spent most of my life living on the South side and gone to northwestern all the time, it doesn't take long to get too, never had a problem there..
