How long do I have to wait before job will be offered to me?

Hi all, I had today an interview in the hospital for a bank HCA position, and it skipped my mind to ask them how long will I wait for their outcome, though I asked if I will be contacted regardless whether I get the job or not, and I was told yes but they didn't tell me for how long I have to wait. I hate waiting, the waiting is usually killing.

2. We're not the company. We have no idea of it they plan to hire new people or one person today, one week from today, a month from now, etc. You should give the recruiter or HR a call and ask them.

You could call the decision maker and ask, but I would leave it over a week after the closing date before you do this (if there is a closing date), an email is better as a phone call tends to interrupt what a person is doing whereas people generally have a set time of day to read and respond to emails. A polite call to the receptionist to obtain the relevant email address usually is ok. Hope this works out for you.
4. It's impossible to say. It depends how many people they have to see and when they will have seen them all, and how many candidates are good enough for them to have to choose between them. Call HR and ask them, I'm sure it will be fine.
5. Sometimes it can be the next day, sometimes 2-3 days, sometimes a week! Depends on the job and how many applicants there are.
