Why do "Texas Patriots" love socialism through Military Pensions and VA hospitals and re-up bonuses but?
hate it when you ask for single payer options or Union wages and pensions you can live on? Double standards or just the Texas education system?

- Dude, its Texas!
- Hypocrits. Houstoncrits Dallascrits
- I don't , we need to stop treating the Military like they are the best Americans
- Its Texas Duh!
- That sound like the military having to negotiate to keep the people they want on the job just like any other employer. We do very bad things under very bad conditions in the military. Not many would stay without good pay and benefits.
- so true. I have a friend in Texas that informs me of all the additional benefits he has received since Obama became President. And then a minute later, he calls Obama a Socialist.
- Anyone who thinks those are socialist are either very stupid or a troll.
- I'm not a Texan, and I'm sure you don't represent them. War injured soldiers should get the best medical care (And that's certainly not a govt run hospital) as for the rest, I can't believe they went to war to fight for our ideals so they could return to become wards of the state.
- I don't know about Texans on this subject, but I for one do not consider any of those socialism. Those benefits are earned, maybe not the bonuses, but the first two. I for one will be glad to collect from your so called socialism in 3 years after I've completed my 24th year of service. And personally my pension will be better deserved than those who get one from congress.
- The military 'benefits' you mentioned are EARNED, and earned the hard way. Why should someone be paid $50-$75 per hour plus benefits for putting lug nuts on one side of a Chevy? You want government controlled health care? There's always medicaid for people like you.
- Ever hear of earning a pension? How about a signing bonus naww you're a liberal of course you never hear of anything doing with "work"
- All military should always receive the best, even veterans. As far a a pension to live on, I don't understand. A pension is not something to live on. It should be something to supplement your income after retirement. In otherwords, during your working years, you should be saving money towards retirement, and you pension should supplement that. Too many people think social security and medicare should take care of them until they die. Thats crap and Americans need to wake up!!!! I am not going to work until I am 90 and continue to pay for some slob that has never worked and has no intention of ever working. I would like to see the government END social Security and Welfare.
