Yes, but there have been issues at a couple of VA hospitals and that means anything the government touches becomes a disaster. There are TV commercials and everything.

Would you really like a national version of the VA? I have talked to GIs that had to deal with them and they were not impressed with the red tape and the restrictions placed on treatments.

that is a lie. I suggest you look at reports about the VA hospitals and you will be shocked. Wilford Hall and Temple Tx should come to mind.
hey friend, goooood question! they take great care of me from the many years i served in the Army and don't make a big deal out of it either, in other words, there is no red tape, no waiting in an office, a no frills check-up and i'm out of there. what i think is the reason, is the doctors don't hem haw around just to get a bigger bill slapped on you and the VA has a purpose, and that is to heal the sick....period!!!
