What is the impact of religious tolerance on medical law?
Basically i just want to know much different religions are tolerated by medical law in both the UK and US
Public Comments
- Here in The USA the JW does not believe in blood tranfusion, there has been a few times the government step in to save a person life & then there has been a few times the government honors their beliefs.
- all religions do is try and hold back science its time thay left medical and sciene people alone and let them do there jobs and stop laying down fairy tale laws to stop them
- Volume 7, Book 71, Number 582: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment." This Hadith does not only indicate that Muslims should seek medical advice but also research cures (as the early Muslims did). So in term of Muslims and the law there is nothing perse that needs to be tollerated. Whoever the use of alcohol and swine (i'm thinking transplants etc) would be permissable if need be. Also people should aim to be exmanied by doctors of the same sex, if they can't then it would be permissable for the opposite sex do it.
- In Oz, those two can either run parallel. religious people can cause the furtherance of medical science , ill informed Jw's stop it with silly religious arguments . but science can compliment religion. The two are not mutually exclusive.
