cook county hospital Chicago?

Does anybody know how long the waiting lines at cook county hospital are? I need to get my gallbladder taken out and I heard that I wouldn't have to pay for the surgery at cook county hospital in Chicago... now I have a few questions: Is the surgery really for free? Is it even for free when I need to go to the ER? And how long do people usually have to wait? thank you in advance!

1. Who told you it needs to come out? How did you pay for the doctor and tests to make that assessment? If it's an emergency, any hospital has to provide the necessary care to mitigate the issue. You might see about being an extra on Grey's Anatomy, ER, or Scrubs. Maybe they can work you in.
