Did Obama Receive An Earmark of One Million Dollars for The University Of Chicago Hospital?

Where Michele Obama works? And isn't it amazing that in 2004 her earnings were $122,000/yr. and her slary after this earmark is now $325,000? I ask because the U Of M Hospital in Ann Arbor is expanding and I do not find any large earmarks like that for this hospital.

Well, it's also important to note that the University of Chicago system is private whereas U of M is public. Also last I knew it was only Motts, the Children's Hospital, that was expanding here. She's also the VP for Community and External affairs, so the salary and its subsequent raise makes sense. Here at U of M the president, Mary Sue Coleman, makes $700,000+ and so it would easily make sense that an AVP would make that much.
I will be honest and say I don't know the exact figures but I did read this, it's on a link but cannot remember the name of it.,But it's believable. At this point with all that has come out on these two weighs enough to show me he is certainly not what we want to lead our country.And it does not take a rocket scientist to figure it out.adding it all up make a pretty clear picture what he all about. And it sure not for America best interest,And I praying Americans is not buying it.Christians pray.God's will be done.

Nepotism yes, Out right wrong doing, would tennis ball toss this one. To prove intent would be a arduous task. I'm sure the rendering was cloaked and entangled in some form of grand scheme of the Hospital, formatting some general factor, But we all know point specific, what the intent was. Unfortunately in my years on the Job in that town, this is normal business as usual.
Yes, That was quite a raise. And yes she got the earmark. I think she should be ashamed as she says she had such a tough time paying her college loan to Ivy League Colleges and had a tough time growing up being Black. It shows to me she did pretty good rising from the ghettos as she claims. She got the American Dream and is still bitching.

Yep, the hospital got the earmark, but I think it was introduced by Senator Obama AFTER his wife got her raise. Those U of C folks are no fools! What's so amazing about Michelle Obama's raise? First, what's it worth to the hospital to have an employee whose husband is a U. S. Senator and is sponsoring a $1 million (maybe that's a down payment) grant to build a new pavilion? Second, how can Michelle and Barack condemn the poverty born of racism and the privileges afforded to the rich if they haven't walked in both pairs of shoes? BTW, it has been reported that the Obamas have decided they prefer the "rich" shoes and plan to continue wearing them. As Buy More pointed out, the U of M is a public entity and the U of C is private. Why would the government want to appropriate PUBLIC money and give it to a PUBLIC hospital when it can give that PUBLIC money to a PRIVATE hospital? Remember, during its formative years the U of Chicago was heavily funded by John D. Rockefeller, who didn't want his generosity to become public knowledge lest the University develop a sense of entitlement. Barack H. Obama has no qualms about being revered by supporters of the U of C. Now, does that make sense? NO???? Ooops! Sorry!
I am not sure how many questions you are asking here, but do you expect a senator from Illinois to find funding for a hospital in Michigan? That seems a bit incredulous.
I FIND THIS HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. IT IS NO WORSE HOWEVER THAN AN EARMARK FOR A WOODSTOCK MUSEUM FOR ONE OF HILLARY CLINTON'S CAMPAIGN SUPPORTERS.
