- Marriage has nothing to do with parenthood. If you believe that your daughter is being abused or neglected, contact child protective services. Let them investigate. If she is removed from the home, go for full custody. Good Luck
- It's great to hear your worried about the health and welfare of your children. Don't waste time trying to find a female lawyer in particular, just get a competent lawyer and get those kids out of the little hell hole their in fast. Good luck!
- You should absolutely not be discriminating against lawyers based on their gender. It has absolutely nothing to do with their qualifications and may even lead to some lawyers (including the female ones) refusing to take your case. It is completely unethical. Did you have your guardianship taken away? As her father you have guardianship unless a judge says otherwise. Was her aunt given guardianship? Was the mother prosecuted? Did the mother lose her guardianship? These are important questions. As her father you're her guardian unless a judge has decided otherwise and you can take custody, again, unless a judge has ruled custody in the mother or aunt's favor. If they have ordered custody over your daughter it's still not hopeless the state will happily give you custody after removing the child from the home for neglect.
- Back Wissen 100%. Stop looking at the genetalia of the lawyer and look at their ability. You need someone who is experienced in custody law. There are many very good male attorneys in Chicago, such as www.dadsrights.com Do yourself a favor and STOP making assumptions about a person's sex.
