Workers comp?? Should I sue or not?

I fell at work, no fault of my own. SOmeone from the janitorial staff mopped the floor and did not leave up a sign, I hit the floor really hard. I have intense swelling in my hand, they say that it is not broken, but the swelling will not subside. I type with one hand well, so thank goodness. Then next day I had intense swelling in my ankle. THe pain in my back is horrible, I have a huge bruise on my shoulder and butt. I work for one of the largest and well known hospital systems in North Carolina (country). I really do not want to sue, but I am hearing lies from other people now, they are trying to cover thier butts. I just want them to help me to get better, cost for medicine, and doctors. My paycheck. With understanding that I am in pain and stop trying to rush me back to work. Only have been out one day. Everyone is telling me to sue the hospital. What do you think? So use to putting in Love and Romance sorry. Yes, I filed a claim immediately after it happened in the Emergency Room. THe "boss" says, I knew that we were in trouble when we saw your hand. Many people were around her when she said it.

  3. WRONG AREA
  4. Did u file a report after u fell. If u didn't u may have a hard time proving u fell at work. It is up to u what u do!
  5. have your bruises ect. documented.meaning, have it picture taken, have doctor analize and confirm it. you can actually sue the hospital or just get a little compensation like free medicine or vacation..my friend sued her company for a similar case and she got 120,000 pesos, that's 2310 US dollars. tahts big in the Phil
  6. I was injured in an auto accident , while on my job, and worker's comp wouldn't pay a dime... Should you sue? ABSOLUTELY!! Workers comp won't pay unless they're FORCED to. If I had it to do over, I would sue them in my case! Good Luck! Your employer doesn't want you to file a claim, because then, their premiums will go up.......not concerned with your health and well-being, just "the almighty dollar!"
  7. Apply for WC. Suits are usually unnecessary.
  8. Sue. Get a lawyer, see what he thinks. Negotiate with your employers for an out of court settlement, perhaps. Don't forget, you could have long term back problems from this.
