- Most of them have it. UCDavis, UCSan Fran, most of the SUNYs. Duke, Stanford, Yale, Harvard. The list is quite long. If you like warm weather consider the down south states like CA, FL, TX, AZ All have dozens of good pre-med schools. One thing you might want to look at is what schools have instructors doing Under Graduate courses who have advanced biological or bio-chemical research programs in progress. Getting on a research project as even a lab tech or secretary can help amazingly when you apply to Medical School. If you can get your name in a published paper as last assistant just before applying to Medical School that might impress them when you send a photo copy of the tearsheet with your name one it.
- The best shot you have of getting into a medical school is your own state's university. State universities are required to given state residents preference in admissions. It will also be the least expensive tuition. The "Big Name" schools did not earn their reputation from the medical school--they earned it from the residency and research programs. The medical schools just get to ride the coattails of these reputations. The reality of it is that there is no "lesser" quality medical school and that's based on the objective evidence of pass rates at the USMLE.
