How much would a social worker (that works in a hospital) make in NYC?

After I graduate next year with my degree in Human Services, I want to move to New York City. I was wondering how much does a social worker that works in a hospital make each year in NYC?

1. most wont hire you with out a masters degree. You either won't get hired or they will want you to get it.
2. Hi. I am a forensic social worker and have investigated the very same opportunity. All I can say is that it's not very much when you look at the cost of living. New graduates with a Master of SW can expect anywhere between 30,000 and 37,000. The best paying jobs are usually the most dangerous ones (ex. forensic mental health facilities). If what you really want is optimizing your income than you may have to consider another state (ex. Alabama; higher demand, higher salaries, lower cost of living). Good luck in your search.
