I hope I understood your question correctly,it could have been phrased a little better : ) .All hospitals will treat anyone with a serious problem even if they are not insured.NYC has many hospitals and clinics so no one is "underserved" as you say.But if you mean the poor,then I say to you that if they have a problem and go there they will be helped.And if they have a special need that Mount Sinai deals with they are requred to treat them if they are sent there.
